Im excited to live in that world.
Any game that relies on BS DRM like Denuvo that refuses to work for SteamOS can die in a fire.
Most of the are shitty multiplayer games anyways.

I think about famous photo of the pirate bay cofounder.
These are the people we want to manage the internet.

Eww y’all have a code word? Those are easily guessable.
My wife and I have a random 6 digit code that rotates every 30-seconds based on an algorithm and if we don’t properly authorize, we will refuse the connection.
- Comment on Huge win for Internet freedom: Google must sell its Chrome browser 4 weeks ago:
People who think this is going to really cause a disruption really did not live through the past thirty years of US tech companies being told to break up only to reform again, only stronger.
Google also got fuck you money to make upset politicians to disappear.
- Comment on Signal gets new video call features, making it a viable alternative to Zoom, Meet and Teams 5 weeks ago:
Jitsi is a open-source video platform you can self-host.
I don’t trust anything going through another company’s servers. Zoom had to backpedal when it was found feeding content to AI… Imagine talking about your company business secrets and now some dickwad are Zoom reads the transcripts and steals it.

Some GenZ kids were talking about how cool rolling up a window with a handle was and wished it was in cars again. It was refreshing to hear.
- Comment on Some guy complained this fishing game only caters to queer players, so the dev added a "straight" title - it costs $9999 1 month ago:
Seriously. Reminds me of those “I’m Rich” apps which just displays that text, and actual idiots wanted to flex so they bought them.
- Comment on When the Steam Deck was still just an idea, Valve says some staff were like, "I just want that for me" and "the point wasn't even to make a product out of it" 1 month ago:
This is a shared experience.
Every single person in my circle gave the biggest wtf to it and when they finally got it, talk about how they rarely use their gaming PC.
- Comment on DoNotPay has to pay $193K for falsely touting untested AI lawyer, FTC says 2 months ago:
Good!
All these “move fast and break things” with AI as the backbone should pay heavily for even a minor fuck up. They shouldn’t even be in the market.

- Comment on Frame of Mind developer ended up coding the game on Steam Deck for a year 2 months ago:
I always have both an appreciation and judge people who do things like this.
I appreciate it because it’s neat that people are willing to go the distance for the fun of it. People who limit themselves to specific tech or libraries. People who code for old tech like those who make brand new “retro” games, or code for Pico-8.
Then the judgement comes in. Just… Jackie chan why.
I still appreciate the dedication!
- Comment on What are your thoughts on Warframe? 3 months ago:
I kinda agree and disagree.
I agree that some games do deserve time. Rockstar games have extremely long tutorials.
But for a free to play game? An hour is plenty of time to know if you like the shooting and movement.
There’s too many good games out there.
- Comment on What are your thoughts on Warframe? 3 months ago:
I probably didnt play it right because for some reason, people LOVE Warframe.
I tried it for an hour and found it really boring.
Spent most the hour learning how to run in the game. Then it threw me in a mission with two other actual players, and I couldn’t remember how to do half the actions. So as I was quitting, the other players were yelling at me not to.
I was recommended it after being bored with Destiny 2, and felt I came in with the wrong misconceptions.
- Comment on Steam now identifies reviews that come from Steam Deck players 3 months ago:
How the heck are people writing reviews on the Steamdeck? Are they plugging in a keyboard?
I can barely form sentences on the virtual kb and tagged keyboard only games so I can play them at my gaming PC.
- Comment on CrowdStrike’s faulty update crashed 8.5 million Windows devices, says Microsoft 5 months ago:
I wonder if a large percentage of impact is internal facing systems.
And we won’t know until Monday.
- Comment on iFixit now offers a Steam Deck toolkit 5 months ago:
Absolutely! The major concern is if it’ll be like cell phones. Where the cost of replacement may cost almost as much as a brand new steam deck.
- Comment on iFixit now offers a Steam Deck toolkit 5 months ago:
Pretty cool! I’m going to be sad if/when my Steamdeck stops working. And hopefully it’s a easy fix because I love this machine.
