Hopefully this motivates distro makers to secure their services a little bit more than xubuntu never did. Plenty distro still serve files under unsecure connections.
- Comment on Want to avoid AI gen on Steam? This browser userscript might save your day 3 weeks ago:
Nope. This is literally the same RMVP move. Having one person curate my experience of Steam is bounds for arbitration.
If you as a consumer do not want GAN, nuance what you do not want to see generated.
Procedural generation is one of the reasons I came for gaming, so a killfile on a description isn’t enough to expose to me what I tolerate from asset training.

LMFAO, this other 🧵 is exactly the mentality I am talking about deters folks from doomsday preparing.
Modern society is designed to be complex enough to force people to become helpless, so they ask others help instead of fixing and learning how to fix stuff themselves. Once you see how super complex life is, the veil of oppression starts to reveal itself.
Folks need to start saying:
I want to learn how to fix this myself, how can I help?
things will change.

Unfortunately, as I still type, there’s no liberated deblobbed ROM. /e/OS, like every custom AOSP fork, is dependent on leaks &/manufacturer provided ROMs. After Google silos AOSP ROMs, all forks will not be able to acquire updates downstream.
Linux Phones, are not alternatives.
