Yes, e-readers nowadays have a “frontlight”, a fiber otic mesh overlaid on top of the display. But the list of materials they provide doesn’t have anything that would provide this light.

Don’t know why you’re getting down voted for this, you’re technically correct, the best kind of correct!

Why does the one on the picture look backlit?
- Comment on Just played AC Odyssey ...Currently playing Origins. Is there any games out there like the AC stuff. Also like finding new stuff and location. 2 months ago:
Not sure why no one’s mentioned it yet, but these two are very different from the previous AC games. Odyssey is kind of a refining of Origins, which AFAIK is the first of the series to introduce RPG elements (leveling, talent trees…), and made the “assassin” part of the title meaningless.
The previous games are more focused on assassinating specific targets, and stealth (somewhat).
What made most of these games shine is the climbing and roof-running, which is why, in my opinion, Valhalla sucks. They took buildings away and have you running around in bland-looking flat marshes.

Shaders are definitely downloaded on the Steam Deck. Don’t know about other hardware though.

The Canadian public institution I work at has been diving deeper and deeper into the Microsoft soup in the past few years. Getting out of there would take a considerable amount of work.

You consider 150GB small?!?
The biggest games I have downloaded were around 80GB, and I found that excessive. - Comment on E-Paper Display Reaches the Realm of LCD Screens 9 months ago:
