I do remember you have to go somewhere in the settings around keyboards and startup movies to be able to claim them. I am not sure you could just claim them in the actual points shop.

Yeah. Same for me. I do have issues from time to time that my monitor isn’t recognized, then I have to disconnect and even switch off power to the display completely before trying again.
But that happens maybe once every few weeks.

Maybe there are more keyboards that I don’t know about but I got the 512 GB OLED version and was able to get all kinds of useless profile things and also keyboard skins.

I can also recommend KDE connect, does not work well on most public WiFi though.

What do you mean, just download your extra RAM like everyone else.

I’ll just start off with some second hand knowledge I cannot promise is correct because I recently learned that secure boot is a bit of a hot mess.
I seem to remember from discussions of recent articles that were about expiration of some widely used keys to run secure boot, that this is something you need to enable when you install your operating system. Unless I misunderstood what people were saying it sounds to me like there is no way to switch it on retroactively, because that pretty much stop your operating system from booting. Similar if you had it on during installation and then switch it off, your system won’t run.
I guess this is to avoid that someone with physical access to your computer can just switch it off, install root kit malware, then switch it back on (or not).
Again. I might be wrong but maybe if you look into that direction you find some more information that helps.

It’s fine to ask for money. Here I think it is just not clear why this would warrant a subscription model.
- Comment on Junk Store 2.0 has released 4 weeks ago:
Yeah, not sure how that is confusing.

Is there any server component to it, other than serving updates? That would justify a subscription model, but I also cannot see any need for it for something like this.

So, hilariously, if you never had connected them, you’d still retain the offline features, since they couldn’t push that update on you?
Although I assume they push you hard to connect them at first use.

Maybe should add that these are accessed via the desktop mode, discovery store. Then they need to be added as non-steam game to start them outside desktop mode.

That’s actually a novel approach I didn’t think about. Thanks for sharing!
I am not playing a ton of games really so maybe that is also something I could consider.
What software are you using for this and could you share something you’ve written? Only if not too personal of course, I understand you might not want to share, that is OK.

I had seen Slaanesh before but it seems quite early in dev, so I am wondering if it is up to the task or not. Maybe I will give it a spin, it does come closest to what I have in mind, I think.

IGDB looks interesting, but I realise I think I’d rather like something that can be run independently or has some way to export data in some manner, maybe IGDB has that. Didn’t check yet. Reason being, as soon as they close their doors I have to start over. Maybe that will never happen, maybe it happens next month.

- Comment on [Help] non-steam games infinite loading screen in game mode 1 month ago:
Are these from the epic store? I had the same issue yesterday with a game I installed via Heroic from the Epic Store. First started it from desktop via Heroic, went well. It got added by Heroic to Steam so I tested it in Game mode, worked as well.
Then I switched off and wanted to play again after a few hours, got the same issue as you in Game mode, game starts loading but spinning animation keeps showing and I can hear the menu music.
How I “fixed” it, I went to desktop and added the game as non-steam game myself, so selecting the .exe and adding proton experimental in Game mode for starting. But that made me lose my save game, since I just started it didn’t matter though, might matter for you.
