  I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not (Poe’s Law, and all) so just to be safe I’ll remark that releasing a product at an affordable cost is the opposite of anti competitive.

  I actually find that the save methods of a game can influence its vibe. It might sound really dumb to everyone else here, but I don’t think Stardew would be quite the same game if you could save at any time. I think that’s true of some other games, too.

  I’d expect at least the first wave to not be affected by slopocalypase pricing. To target a 1Q26 release date they had to have contracts well in advance.
