transparent custom shells already exist. the problem is, that transparent plastics tend to be more brittle than solid colors
Ive done a shell swap on my steam deck and while Its worth it and it looks amazing it was a PROCESS because you have to unglue the screen and the touch pads (if you want to swap those too) you basically disassemble the entire device
Yeah, I’d love to do it myself, but once I saw that you have to unglue the screen I decided that I have enough projects going on right now. lol
Did this too. Can confirm, it was quite the process.
Yup. Was SUPER tedious and time consuming. Worth it tho.
There’s actually an official transparent case Steam Deck too. They had the limited edition OLED when it first came out.
