Anyway, Ryubing got a DMCA from Nintendo, just another in a long list in the last few weeks which has received such.
And here I was wondering why the fork was still online on GitHub when all others went down.
By the way, it’s available on Flathub: flathub.org/apps/io.github.ryubing.Ryujinx
It came in clutch when I wanted to play CTGP Deluxe online and Ryubing adds the online mode again which works outside of LAN. It also has a feature to load DLC/updates from disk automatically.
Overall, a really neat update to Ryujinx.
- Comment on Anyone tried running GTA Vice City - Next Gen on Steamdeck? 1 month ago:
Did you start it in game mode or on desktop? You can add a shortcut to Steam directly from Bottles and then start it in game mode.
- Comment on The deck is a damn good manga reader 2 months ago:
Try KOReader, it can rotate itself any way you want. I also use a plugin for it which automatically rotates depending on the aspect ratio of the page. Can also change the font size on the fly, zoom in and out and it’s available as Flatpak on the Deck.
The UI is made for e-ink displays so don’t expect a beautiful UI with it but the reader is one of the best. I recommend reading the manual which opens on first start, it’s mostly controlled by gestures.
- Comment on Will there be a restock on the white OLED steam deck? 3 months ago:
Still in stock in other regions, depending on where you live you might be able to order somewhere else?

I finally bought Nine Sols.

Played through it on my Linux PC, worked flawlessly. Fantastic game!
- Comment on We Now Have 16,000 Steam Deck Verified/Playable Games To Play Through 6 months ago:
That’s because performance is a criteria for getting verified:
default configuration: the game must ship with a default configuration on Deck that results in a playable framerate.

There is no “target framerate” though, so what’s considered “playable” differs from tester to tester.
- Comment on [Game] No Rest for the Wicked now Steam Deck Verified thanks to latest update 7 months ago:
Those reviews really overblow the importance of that mechanic. It’s just little side things that happen while you play “the real game”.
It will probably be removed or reduced for the full release considering it doesn’t add much value to the gameplay either.
- Comment on Valve Working on Video Clip Recording and Sharing in Steam Client 9 months ago:
OBS also has a replay buffer feature on both Linux and Windows. Obviously slightly more of a nuance to setup but once it’s setup, it’s just a single button to start/save.
- Comment on Valve has little to worry about as new Steam Deck rival arrives 9 months ago:
Windows is the main reason I never got one of those PC handhelds even though they have been around for a very long time.
Never really felt like a handheld, more like an unwieldly laptop.
- Comment on I used to be a frame rate snob but owning a Steam Deck has made me realise the error of my ways 11 months ago:
As another mouse lover, the DualSense controller also has gyro aiming and I can only recommend it.
I’m playing Horizon Forbidden West with it right now and it allows me to be almost as precise as with a mouse. The adaptive triggers and the detailed haptics are also pretty cool. Also a really good controller for Switch emulation.
- Comment on Outside of gaming, how do you guys use your Steam Deck? 1 year ago:
I plan to get a second dock for it, and use it in place of a stream deck for when I stream.
Be careful if you have an OLED Steam Deck. Static images will burn in pretty quickly if the software you use does not have burn in protection built in.

I’m going to put Capcom on the same list EA and Ubisoft already are on. If the pirate has the better experience than the customer I see no reason to buy their games.

- Comment on Steam Deck OLED Plays Better Than Steam Deck LCD: Big Input Lag Reductions 1 year ago:
The kind of person that wants to play Elden Ring on the go but can’t because the input lag is too damn high.
- Comment on Steam Deck OLED Plays Better Than Steam Deck LCD: Big Input Lag Reductions 1 year ago:
Do you not notice any input lag on your Deck when playing at 30fps? Feels absolutely horrible to me, so I’m hopeful this will fix it.
- Comment on [News] Updates to the linux kernel 6.6 suggest a hardware refresh/variant of the Steam Deck is in development 1 year ago:
I sure hope so.
SteamVR development also picked up pace the last few months and VR support was added to gamescope a while back. So something must be coming, and it’s Linux based.
