- Comment on Why won’t Steam Machine support HDMI 2.1? Digging in on the display standard drama. 2 weeks ago:
We need to normalize this kind of headline:
“The HDMI Forum, whatever the fuck that means, refuses to support open source software development.”

- Comment on Does anyone else use their steam deck as a PC? How's it? 2 months ago:
I have an aging computer and have test driven the Deck with a dock as my main. I don’t do a lot of heavy lifting with it because i have a homelab so i mostly need a simple workstation. It’s def more than capable for that task.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 introducing a native Steam Deck build that improves performance by reducing CPU load and memory usage 2 months ago:

- Comment on New rumor suggests Valve's Steam Deck 2 is much further away than we thought 3 months ago:
I have an aging gaming computer (6700k, 2080ti) and as i get older the need for a massive desktop is financial shitty now and starting to feel unnecessary for me. Desktop mode in a dock feels great and most of my hardware/all of my storage is out in the garage in a rack. It’s a thin client I can game on.

- Comment on Microsoft dives into the handheld gaming PC wars with the Asus ROG Xbox Ally 6 months ago:
Microsoft has no integrity left. I’m all for competition. If you have an xbox and this is as friendly a combination as the deck is to a bazzite/any Linux really and the Ally is what you choose, fuck yeah get your game on. For me, I’ll never trust any Microsoft product.
- Comment on Duolingo CEO on going AI-first: ‘I did not expect the blowback’ 6 months ago:
I think you misunderstood my meaning. They know. They’ve known all along. They simply think that saying they don’t know and throwing everyone below them under the bus is fine because it’s accepted in the business culture here. The CEO is always right because even when they aren’t, bonus still gets deposited.
- Comment on Duolingo CEO on going AI-first: ‘I did not expect the blowback’ 6 months ago:
If you have ever been to any major SLT or higher meeting, the phrases “This is the first time I am hearing about that” or “That’s not what was reported to me” come up so much that I’m amazed the meetings even finish on time. Plausible deniability of the name of the game.

- Comment on Microsoft is quietly installing the Copilot app on Windows PCs 1 year ago:
I just did a fresh install on someone’s computer and it was my first experience with 11. Nothing about that OS is quiet. Copilot auto started with a huge side panel after uninstalling it 3 fuckin times. Everything i removed from the suggested apps came right back after a restart/install. Every setting had a nag popup asking if i was sure or wanted to try Xxx. I disabled shit with powershell commands and an update later it was all back.
I had no idea it was that bad. None.
