- Comment on Best Steam Deck games under $5 in the Couch Co-Op Fest sale 1 week ago:
It’s not on Steam, but my favorite casual couch co-ompetitive game is SUPER SPACE _______ made by some students at DigiPen. It’s free and absolutely amazingly frustrating but in such a fun way. All players control the same ship using only their cannons for propulsion while competing to shoot the most asteroids and together trying to steer the ship to stay alive
- Comment on PSN account no longer required for God of War Ragnarok, Spiderman 2, Last of Us Part 2, and Horizon Remastered 3 weeks ago:
SPIDER-MAN 2 IS COMING TO PC TOMORROW??!?!?!
holy FUCK this is HUGE NEWS
I literally staved off the urge to buy a PS5 for like a continuous 6 months because I knew this was coming some day and now some day is TOMORROW?!?!??!?
- Comment on Any good racing games you have been doing on the deck? 3 weeks ago:
Burnout Paradise runs flawlessly and has yet to be bested in the arcade racing genre (except maybe by Full Auto but that’s not available on PC)
- Comment on Name your most played and most surpring game you played on Steam Deck 2024 4 weeks ago:
I think I played the original Dark Souls more than anything else on my Deck (still can’t beat Ornstein and Smough dammit), but I was most surprised by how great Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands plays on it. The game runs buttery smooth, the HDR is gorgeous, and the controls feel magnificent in spite of using thumbsticks for an FPS
- Comment on SteamOS expands beyond Steam Deck (upcoming SteamOS beta for other devices) 1 month ago:
we will be shipping a beta of SteamOS which should improve the experience on other handhelds, and users can download and test this themselves
So how does SteamOS distinguish between a “handheld” and a desktop, and what’s the Nvidia support like?
Asking for a friend who has an Nvidia-powered desktop that’s been infected with the Windows virus for over a decade now
- Comment on [Discussion] What games are you playing on your deck? - January 2025 1 month ago:
My 11 year old brother was told he can’t beat DOOM Eternal on Ultra Nightmare (1 life mode) given only 100 hours of playtime. I told him there’s absolutely no chance he can do that if he’s on Xbox or PS, and to prove it to him I’ve been letting him try on my Steam Deck which is essentially a console controller++
Credit where it’s due, he’s great with the thumbsticks but he’s changed difficulty from Nightmare to Ultra Violence a few too many times to instill any confidence that he could do this lol
- Comment on [Discussion] Do you use any headphones with your Steam Deck? 1 month ago:
On a plane I’ll use my Airpods Pro 2. They have worked shockingly well for the Deck being a non-Apple product.
I will say though for seemingly no reason they don’t work with God of War Ragnarok. They work fine at first but after roughly a minute, everytime I launch the game, the audio starts to get glitchy and eventually just disappears entirely until I disconnect and reconnect, when it starts that cycle over. I can’t tell in any way why it happens but it happens everytime.

didn’t the last one end like 2 days ago?
- Comment on [Leak] Steam Controller 2 render thumbnail leaked in SteamVR drivers 2 months ago:
It seems to me like the thumbsticks are in the same ergonomic location as on a Playstation controller, and the trackpads are just in the empty space that would otherwise be there. I’m fully into it even if this is what it looks like when complete
- Comment on Overkill is doing their annual Steam Deck survey 3 months ago:
For what it’s worth, I was able to remotely walk my brother through getting Clone Hero working on his Deck with a used GH controller from Ebay having never done it myself. It’s not too difficult!
- Comment on Overkill is doing their annual Steam Deck survey 3 months ago:
You know the original Steam controller has gyro input?
- Comment on Overkill is doing their annual Steam Deck survey 3 months ago:
I really hope we see a Steam Controller 2. The Deck’s trackpads are chef’s kiss and I want a controller with the Deck’s layout for docked mode
- Comment on Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US 3 months ago:
Cool, I like the capacitive sticks, but not what I’m waiting for. I want a Steam controller 2 that’s a Deck without the touchscreen. Anything less and I’m not really interested

Oh HELL yeah. That means if we get some way to run Battleye on the Deck I can finally get Siege working both on the Deck and on my Linux partition and Windows can gtfo

How funny/great would it be if the PSP2 and Switch 2 ran branches of SteamOS?
- Comment on dBrand Releases New Steam Deck Skin Based Off of $1 Million Counter-Strike Skin 7 months ago:
Well that’s understandable. It’s definitely geared for a certain kind of person.

I’d love to know why. My experiences with them have made them out to be very consumer-friendly
- Comment on Hori Announces Controller Made Specifically for Steam 7 months ago:
Yeah, I’m uninterested in buying any new controllers until they make a Steam Deck without the screen. I’m convinced no controller has ever been more comfortable or more versatile than the Steam Deck
- Comment on Lords of the Fallen reboot Lords of the Fallen is getting a sequel in 2026, probably called Lords of the Fallen 8 months ago:
What I don’t get is why Deck13 kicked ass with The Surge 2, showing they really know how to iterate and improve on a core concept really well, but now this IP was taken from them to be given to a completely different team?
TBH I didn’t play LOTF but I really just want to see Deck13 make another game like LOTF or The Surge
- Comment on Redfall will receive one final update after all, including an offline mode 8 months ago:
My cynical brain says the only reason they’re allowing this update is to have evidence that “see, no one cares about offline mode because we added it and no one bought the game!”

This feels like one of those Ford Pinto moments, where the accountants and lawyers got together and determined there was a larger profit margin to take the path less traveled
- Comment on Outside of gaming, how do you guys use your Steam Deck? 11 months ago:
With a Dock and my Steam Controller it’s a fantastic media PC.
- Comment on OLED Bluetooth Wake with Steam Controller? 11 months ago:
Where I live there are so many wifi networks that wireless controllers have a lot of interference and don’t work too well. I commonly just use a cable and hit the power button on my deck myself and it feels like I’m back in the early 2000’s playing on the OG Xbox that I always wished I had lol
- Comment on OLED Bluetooth Wake with Steam Controller? 11 months ago:
You’re the best. You didn’t need to dig this up but this 100% solved my problem.
I used my desktop and micro-USB cable to update the SController firmware, re-paired to the Deck using the Steam+B pairing mode, and now it wakes the Deck from sleep.
Thank you so much!
- Comment on OLED Bluetooth Wake with Steam Controller? 11 months ago:
I think I need to update the firmware on mine. I was disappointed to see there was no option in the controller settings of the Deck even when I plugged it in using a micro USB cable through my dock.
- Comment on OLED Bluetooth Wake with Steam Controller? 11 months ago:
How do you know this? Is there a list of supported devices somewhere? I’m struggling to find it on Valve’s website.
