If anything, this fucker is the one that should be giving money to players.

Wow, what an awe inspiring contribution to the conversation. Truly a mind to rival the great philosophers.

American voice actors definitely get treated like stars and have fans. Source: Ive been to plenty of conventions.
One for every hundred VAs, maybe.
another reason Japanese seiyuu are treated with such high praise is because many of them do other media, particularly music.
Many of the most celebrated seiyuu do nothing but voice acting.

if you can’t understand their language, accent, or inflections?
I understand all of those things, and I’m a second language speaker for both English and Japanese, so there’s no favoritism there.
Do you reckon maybe American voice actors aren’t treated well has more to do with the elitist attitude weebs have regarding them than their skill levels?
No, I don’t. That’s a fairly senseless hypothesis.
- Comment on subs > dubs 11 months ago:
There’s a reason why Japanese voice actors are treated like A-tier celebrities and 'murican anime voice actors are a bunch of nobodies. The chasm between their skill levels is too big.
- Comment on subs > dubs 11 months ago:
That’s irrelevant, 'murican dubs lack soul. All of the good voice actors are working on videogames, so they’re left with people they can get off the streets to voice anime in 'murica (sometimes literally).

Dungeon Defenders was a fantastic game. Too bad DD2 flopped, and now there’s barely anyone playing.

Super Mario Bros., Balloon Fight, that one Robocop game for the NES, Sonic The Hedgehog and a top-down strategy shooter for the Genesis/Mega Drive that I can’t remember the name of.

Yeah, but on the other hand: fuck tobacco, smoking and all drugs. Drugs are for losers.

We literally do it all the time…

Not only would they, they already are - that’s what crowd funding like Patreon is for, and it’s also how it gets used. There are hundreds of thousands of sites sharing “copyrighted” material produced for supporters, and yet no artist bothers going after them, because it’s irrelevant. The people who want that content enough to pay for it do so, anyone else is just tagging along for the ride.
- Comment on Court rules Gabe Newell must appear in person to testify in Steam anti-trust lawsuit 11 months ago:
Commissions don’t give a damn about copyright. The end product is made specifically to please one person and reproductions are already worthless, since only Jimbo wants an impressionist picture of Blue Eyes White Dragon wearing a tutu. Jimbo ends up happy, since he got his picture, I end up happy, as Jimbo pays me for the time it took to paint it, and anyone else that manages to copy it can be happy as well.

Guess what I do for a living. You have 1 guess.

If anyone could sell the thing you just spent time and money creating for free, there would be little incentive to create the thing
In one sentence, you’ve already demonstrated that you don’t understand artists at all.
