- Comment on Amazon discovered a 'high volume' of CSAM in its AI training data but isn't saying where it came from 6 days ago:
Yea that too. I read the article after making that comment wondering if they clarified…
Amazon stated that their detection/moderation has very low tolerance so there was a lot of borderline/false positives in their reports…
In the end though, it seems like all of Amazon’s reports were completely inactionable anyways because Amazon couldn’t even tell them the source of the scraped images.

When i hear stuff like this, it always makes me wonder if the material is actual explicit exploitation of a minor, or just gross anime art scraped from 4chan and sketchy image boards.
- Comment on AI CEO – Replace Your Boss Before They Replace You 2 months ago:
The ONE problem with replacing the CEO with AI, is that companies actually need CEOs… so that there is someone to be held accountable when the company gets caught doing something naughty. Every other management position though…

- Comment on Microsoft is stuffing pop-up ads into Google Chrome on Windows again 1 year ago:
And its a horrible reason too, Chrome sucks! Only reason i use it is because they successfully assimilated me into their ecosystem over many years and i dont have the mental energy required to ungoogle myself. I have come to accept that i am google’s bitch.
- Comment on How Facebook Messenger and Meta Pay are used to buy child sexual abuse material 1 year ago:
Assuming the 90-9-1 rule holds true, 10k arrests for 100k active users is actually pretty good for stopping child abuse. LEA has limited resources and can’t go after everybody, it makes sense that they would focus only on those that produce and share.
