I forgot you could use SSH port redirection. By having them connect to your ssh server. Just understand that you need to configure it in a safe way to avoid someone using the credentials incorrectly.
See the section called “Exposing service running in localhost of a server behind NAT to the internet”

Any luck?

Ah yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a double NAT going on and needs to put the ISP provided modem into bridge mode.
Perhaps change who’s hosting it? Since you’re in IT you probably have a computer capable of it?
Alternatively you could host a wire guard endpoint have them connect to you that way. But configuring that is a pain on Windows.

The problem is most likely on the host’s end. They need to configure port forwarding for the game.
If you’re connecting over the internet confirm you’re connecting to their WAN IP address.
There is a rare edge case that comes to mind. In server.properties look for
use-native-transport
and try setting it to false on the host.Alternatively I would suggest checking if you and the host support ipv6 and use that. It’ll help avoid the problems you’re experiencing with NAT.

- Comment on An Alternate Reality Of The Steam Deck (Anti-cheat Support!) 7 months ago:
Hey its unfortunate you are being downvoted since this is about a active problem and all you’re doing is bringing attention to it.
It’s not that the OS doesn’t support such tools, (anyone can choose to run a 3rd party kernel module) its the devs of the anticheat software that refuse to do the work needed to make it a reality.
The other problem is that such software is unlikely to work correctly out of the box across the plethora of available operating systems and configurations. Just targeting the steam deck would be received rather negatively and probably illicit chilling effects across the community.
You could theoretically, do what NVIDIA has done for their driver and opensource just the parts needed to make it work for your OS. However, that could potentially be used as a means to circumvent the purpose of the tool.
All anti-cheat software is a cat and mouse game and any determined group will eventually circumvent any client side means which speaks to architectural problems with the game. Which could potentially be insurmountable without considerable investment in server sided solutions.
However, the creation of client sided kernel modules would at least bring it close to par with the Windows experience.

Honest question, who is playing these games for the story? I thought the whole point of this franchise was to run and gun with your pals and 360 no scope. And the campaign was more to help the player learn how to play so they aren’t slaughtered in every public lobby.

That’s awesome, I’m looking forward to that. Are you aware if this is on AMD or Nvidia’s roadmap to support?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see in the near future emulators that shamelessly borrow protected code now.

I’m assuming that it’ll still use an ordinary GPU such as Nvidia or AMD?
If they don’t, they need to do a much better job than Intel did at launch of their GPUs.
Maintaining at minimum full DX 8 and newer compatibility and all the esoteric fixes.
Plus Vulkan and full OpenGL support.
On top of all that, it’ll need a flawless x86_64 environment.

Hopefully it’s native support and not just trying to make their game work against proton

Yeah I had one in my first apartment miss that a bunch.
Another cause is water coming in from the side of the building or when the cable guy drills through the wall and calls it good.

In my experience doing home repair calls, they’re neglecting the environment they are living in. This isn’t unique to obese people but I’m sure it contributes strongly to their apathetic nature. So you’re likely right that the water is just splashing around and left to sit cause they aren’t agile enough or don’t care enough to take care of the environment they are living in.
You can make a wet bathroom, these are popular in Asian communities where the entire bathroom is a shower.

- Comment on When is it okay to drop out of college? 1 year ago:
It might be worth seeking out a psychologist to help you work through these set backs and address the root causes of your grief and think through the ramifications of these actions. It may be possible to develop an education plan that conforms to your unique circumstances, allowing you to graduate. At my school we called those pink slips (a pink document that you gave to each professor detailing how to adjust their training to better suit you that the school has agreed too). Work out an alternative education plan to help you succeed as it isn’t a black and white system, schools work out alternative plans all the time with many students. Remember, that you’re not a bother the school wants you to succeed. Even from a non-humanities angle it helps with their metrics too.
There is no shame in seeking out professional help or helping yourself protect your hefty investment. Any thoughts that contradict this thought should be incredulously examined for merit.
It’s also important to note, that each school may have a different way of handling your departure. Some schools let you keep your credits for a limited time to apply to you coming back. Generally speaking, once someone has left the school system life has a way of keeping you locked into your current responsibilities and its a real possibility you won’t come back. This is especially true if your only experience was negative and you have only debt to show for it. It’ll be really challenging to convince oneself it’ll work next time.
Ultimately, this isn’t a question for the internet but for the professionals at your school and hopefully a medical professional and if you haven’t evaluated these options earnestly I wouldn’t say its okay to drop out just yet.
- Comment on 'Great' games I didn't play this year due to requirements 1 year ago:
Make sure your games are on a SSD, this isn’t optional anymore; modern games often rely on loading assets as they are needed and if they fail to do that it could appear to stutter, among other issues. This is particularly important for UE games.
Additionally that smearing effect you mentioned could be FSR loading low resolution textures. Try tweaking your settings related to it.
Confirm, that your AMD drivers are up to date. Also If your ram supports XMP or a equivalent feature enable it to benefit from your ram. This is often overlooked.
Enable above “Above 4G Decoding”. Consult your motherboard manual for details on how to do that.
Additionally if your game offers a choice between directX or Vulkan.
Choose Vulkan, if you experience problems try the DirectX options.
