- Comment on Sims 4 devs assemble team to focus on fixing bugs and upping performance, updates to now land every two months 6 months ago:
Has the game always been very buggy, or did it just decline in quality in recent days?
- Comment on EA are thinking about inserting adverts into games - but don’t worry, it’ll be “very thoughtful” 7 months ago:
Didn’t we talk about this last week?
- Comment on Microsoft exec calls for "smaller", "prestige" games the day after closing Hi-Fi Rush studio Tango 7 months ago:
From the article…
The Verge claims that Tango were in the process of pitching Hi-Fi Rush 2 before they were canned. The studio deserved better.
Wow, that really sucks. Wonder what the hell’s going on over there with Microsoft these days.
- Comment on Steam / Steam Deck stable client update released fixing lots of bugs 7 months ago:
From the articles…
This bundles up all the changes from many multiple Beta releases and there’s a lot to go over.
Also from the article…
One of the interesting tweaks is that Valve adjusted the CSS to “reduce feature leaks”, I guess they’re growing a little tired of certain people scraping it constantly to see what they’re working on.
I kind of feel bad about this one. I like to have as much openness and eyes viewing as possible.
- Comment on No Rest for the Wicked lowers its recommended specs as first big patch brings “significant” performance boosts 7 months ago:
That’s a nice change of pace, for once.
- Comment on Roblox players to start seeing video ads in its virtual realms 7 months ago:
Roblox is rolling out virtual billboards with video advertisements, the gaming platform said on Wednesday, in its latest move to draw revenue from its games that are mostly free to play.
Now is the time to push back against this.
If you don’t do it now, you won’t get another chance.

It’s insanely deep with a chill gameplay loop. I’ve exclusively played single-player.
I’ll have to get off my ass and try playing it, been seeing it around forever.
- Comment on 7 months ago:
I played the entire game through on the deck. It played excellently.
Nice! I’ve been meaning to give it a try, but I never get around to doing it. I’ll have to make more of an effort.

Stardew Valley just got a huge update recently, I don’t find it that surprising! It’s a great update.
Ah okay. I just assumed it was the next Minecraft for kids and that’s why it’s population/popularity was hanging on at a high level.
- Comment on 7 months ago:
Surprised to see The Witcher 3 still on that list. And the fact that Stardew Valley is number one also is surprising to me.
It would have been interesting to see the actual total hours for each game as well.
- Comment on Game of Thrones reportedly has an MMO in the works, nearly a decade after the last one was cancelled 7 months ago:
I’ll believe it when I see it.
I’m still waiting for the Stargate MMO to appear.
- Comment on Don’t expect Ori 3 anytime soon, as devs say they’ll be working on No Rest for the Wicked for up to a decade 7 months ago:
I hope the game is accepted well, because the studio is singularly going all in on it for the next five to ten years.

Interesting. It’s the first year that Microsoft owns Blizzard would have been hosting the event.

One and done, or you just didn’t like the games?
- Comment on Stop Killing Games is a new campaign to stop developers making games unplayable 8 months ago:
Employees who don’t speak to their upper management about issues are just as responsible as them.
How so? Are you expecting them to tell the managers what to do, and for the managers to actually listen to them?
- Comment on Stop Killing Games is a new campaign to stop developers making games unplayable 8 months ago:
Please don’t be invasive, I’m being honest with you in my inquiry.
I’m asking you to define a subset of people inside of a development Studio. Can you do that for me?
Are you speaking of the computer programmers /coders, or the managers, inside of the development studio, when you use the words ‘dev’ and or ‘developers’?
- Comment on Stop Killing Games is a new campaign to stop developers making games unplayable 8 months ago:
Just to make sure I’m on the same page with you when trying to understand what you’re saying, when you use the words ‘dev’ or ‘developers’, do you mean the computer programmers who write the games, or their business managers (all of which work at the same development studio)?
Who do you believe is responsible for the decision to add to the game the ‘always connected to the Internet’ functionality, as well as to discontinue the game servers, the computer programmers, or the business managers?
Please answer without using the word ‘dev’ or ‘developers’ in your answer. Thanks.
- Comment on Nick Offerman Slams ‘Homophobic Hate’ Against His ‘The Last of Us’ Episode: ‘It’s Not a Gay Story. It’s a Love Story, You A–hole!’ 9 months ago:
When did “a Chad” become a positive term? From my experince growing up it was a mid-west term for rich city kids, and then later on the internet it became a red piller/incel term for “Alpha male”.
- Comment on Court rules Gabe Newell must appear in person to testify in Steam anti-trust lawsuit 1 year ago:
Remember folks, Valve isnt the peoples company.
No Corporation is “the peoples corporation”, but some corporations treat their customers with a lot more respect and fairness in pricing/policies than others.
