Ur-Quan… isn’t that the one that stole the plot from mass effect!!! /s ;) Glad to see it mentioned… great game. So many hours spent playing that in story campaign but also super melee multiplayer back in the day. Great soundtrack.

It also imports your steam wishlist
Can also directly import from gog, hb, and fanatical. EGS is on the todo list also once they have an api or even just a public facing library. All this time and egs is still pretty bare bones on features.
True, though you don’t get the existing cloud saves so if you’ve started a game already it’s a little annoying.
That’s annoying. I wonder how hard it would be to just copy or use some kind of sync to move the files yourself.

Not a game recommendation specifically but a money extending protip.
Head over to ITAD and make an account. Then you can get notifications when all the games you’re interested in go on sales from legit resellers (including steam itself). As well as when there’s free games to be had. isthereanydeal.com
- Comment on Marathon's short film director doesn't know why this needs clarifying, but no, he didn't use AI to make it 1 month ago:
They do a cashgrab bs reboot of a beloved franchise… release a bland, weird AI looking movie… then get caught stealing artwork inside the game itself. “we don’t understand why you don’t trust us!!” fuuuuuckoff.
- Comment on Marathon shows signs of life with a closed network test scheduled for later this month 2 months ago:
If “signs of life” isn’t them saying “wow we fucked up by stealing art and changing the type of game the fans wanted. We’re sorry. We’ll make a high quality single player experience instead” then I’m definitely uninterested in their nonsense.
- Comment on Escape From Tarkov's Steam release comes with a snag for people who already own it 3 months ago:
It sounds like it isn’t going to have cross platform play even on PC between launchers… so if your friends had it on steam you’d be sol.
- Comment on Adding gog games to steam deck 1 year ago:
Heroic launcher is pretty good alternative. It has a feature to “automatically add to steam” as well that should make a link in the big picture steam deck mode so you don’t have to drop to desktop mode to make them work as well.

Yeah…. Anything these guys make… I’m here for it.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 has already consumed 500 hours of my life, and I'm just getting started 2 years ago:
Skyrim is a first person action adventure game with RPG elements. Baldurs gate is a much more traditional fantasy RPG which I a focused on tactics and D&D core rules and character stories where action stakes a back seat. So it sounds more like you enjoy the action and immersion of Skyrim than the “RPG” side of it.
BG3 is really a love letter to the people that liked the original games and wanted more depth to the systems to try to capture the tabletop experience a little more. Since you described it as “clunky” I’m guessing that the slower tactical aspect is what you’re bouncing off of.
