If “signs of life” isn’t them saying “wow we fucked up by stealing art and changing the type of game the fans wanted. We’re sorry. We’ll make a high quality single player experience instead” then I’m definitely uninterested in their nonsense.
- Comment on Escape From Tarkov's Steam release comes with a snag for people who already own it 5 weeks ago:
It sounds like it isn’t going to have cross platform play even on PC between launchers… so if your friends had it on steam you’d be sol.

Heroic launcher is pretty good alternative. It has a feature to “automatically add to steam” as well that should make a link in the big picture steam deck mode so you don’t have to drop to desktop mode to make them work as well.

Yeah…. Anything these guys make… I’m here for it.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 has already consumed 500 hours of my life, and I'm just getting started 1 year ago:
Skyrim is a first person action adventure game with RPG elements. Baldurs gate is a much more traditional fantasy RPG which I a focused on tactics and D&D core rules and character stories where action stakes a back seat. So it sounds more like you enjoy the action and immersion of Skyrim than the “RPG” side of it.
BG3 is really a love letter to the people that liked the original games and wanted more depth to the systems to try to capture the tabletop experience a little more. Since you described it as “clunky” I’m guessing that the slower tactical aspect is what you’re bouncing off of.
