They already did for me on Shorts, even with Return YouTube Dislike. I now have to utilize the “Not interested” and “Don’t recommend channel” functions extensively.

Out of the box, Nuvio cannot do much (hence why it’s allowed in app stores).
Research more into now it’s plug-in system works. Specifically look into one of the following plug-ins: Torrentio or Comet.
Also learn what a Debrid service is, and then we can talk. Until then, knock it off with the conspiracy theories. It is mind-blowing to me how much effort you’ve put into wanting me to be wrong. That’s fine; nobody’s forcing you to use it. Stick with Jellyfin if it helps you sleep at night. I’ll continue to enjoy pirating the easy way.

You’re misrepresenting how it works. There is nothing “random” or “opaque” about Nuvio. You pick and choose the exact file you want to see, just like browsing torrents. I go with the REMUX every time.
And It’s better because you can watch anything you want instantly without having to download it first then transfer it to your Jellyfin library, and then delete the file when you’re done watching. Nuvio simplifies the entire process. (Of course you can also save your download to your library to watch again).
You people frustrate me so much; you rather make up lies than simply try the app and see for yourself how much better it is than Jellyfin. Nuvio can do everything Jellyfin does, except better.

Nuvio is the same as Stremio except better, because it has more quality of life features (like a “Who’s watching” feature). I only mentioned Stremio because it’s more well-known than Nuvio, but both work the same way. If anyone remembers Popcorn Time, it’s more like that.

IDK why everyone here is in love with Jellyfin when we have Stremio/Nuvio. Jellyfin is a lot of work; with Nuvio all you do is browse like Netflix, and stream. No existing media library requires.

How valid of a solution this is depends entirely on whether or not you care about things like 4K, Full RGB (4:4:4), Dolby Atmos, HDR, etc. If you do, the laptop’s GPU and the TV both must support HDMI 2.1 or higher, or they won’t be able to handle the high bandwidth demands of modern home theater display formats. (You need a decent high bandwidth cable too, of course.)
Thankfully OP might be in luck. I just looked it up and it turns out that the 3050ti does in fact support HDMI 2.1. I’m not sure if that guarantees the laptop will have a 2.1 port like with desktop GPUs but I guess the best way to find out is to just plug in a cable and see if everything works.

Disagree strongly. My trusty old 65" LG C1 is considerably better for 2D games than any VR headset I’ve tried. Better colors, better contrast, better HDR, higher resolution, higher refresh rate. (And before you say something about the spyware, my LG has never had an internet connection so I don’t worry about it.)
If you usually game on an older, smaller IPS or TN monitor (less than 30"), I can understand why you would say something like like this. In that case a VR headset would be a major upgrade for you, just from the increase in virtual display size, along with a better refresh rate & response time. But if you have a decent-sized gaming OLED, then it’s no competition. The gaming display wins every time over most VR hesdsets.
For me, the only thing I use my VR headset for is for VR porn and VR games. Everything else gets enjoyed on the TV.

Thank you for not saying Titanfall 2. Team Fortress 2 came out first, so few things annoy me more than when the playerbase for that game calls it TF2 instead of “TiFa 2” or something like that.

Well for me I just had to suck it up and accept the camp, and the fact that Bethesda doesn’t give a shit about lore consistency. It probably doesn’t help that I’m starved for new Fallout content as we wait a decade or so for the next game to finally get announced.

Not a game, but as a Fallout fan I hated the show at first. The acting is bad and everything looks too shiny and new to be 200 years old (plus I don’t like how the show is inspired more by Fallout 4 than any other game in the series). But I gave it another chance a year later, and it’s growing on me. Sure beats a lot of the other crap on TV these days.

Last game I played that let you use your own face was Tony Hawk’s Underground (either 1 or 2, don’t remember). That was about 20 years ago at this point. I’m surprised that more games don’t have this feature, especially in the era of modern smartphones that can do a 3D scan of your face.

Do they make a pad that is exactly like the upcoming Steam Controller Mk.II, except with two extra face buttons next to B & Y (like an old Sega controller)? It should also have cooling fans for my hands without sacrificing rumble (just like an old Logitech controller I had back in the day).
Something like that is my dream controller and I’ve been waiting for someone to come along and make it for years.

Yes but gaming TVs are all HDMI-only, so this is a major issue for a gaming PC that is being designed for the living room.

Shit like this is why I don’t purchase until I can afford the entire build. Time goes by faster than you think. It would sick to get stuck with a PC that’s already obsolete before you get the funds together to finish it.
If I were you, I’d return everything while you still can, then set aside the money until you can afford tje complete build. Luckily for you you just started, so the return window for everything will still be open for everything.
Consider this a lesson learned and good luck with your eventual build!

Don’t know if it’s still there cause I haven’t used a Mac since 2007, but if you go to the Control Panel and then the keyboard is settings, there should be an setting to rearrange the function of the Control, Option, and Command keys so that they behave just like Control, Super, and Alt do in Linux and Windows.

I haven’t paid a subscription for entertainment for a handful of years now, but now I’m starting to understand why people are canceling streaming services en masse. Disney+ was $6.99/mo back when I had it but I heard it’s also $20-something a month now too. People just needed a good excuse to cancel, and now they have one.

Tails is amazing and I’m glad we have something like that, but it is not practical for every day use IMO.
