- Comment on Steam Deck OLED back in stock despite shortages, but you'll have to grab a refurbished one 1 day ago:
Those are not being reproduced for a long time now, it was all refurbished stock previously. Of course, if they keep listing it they might expect something to sell at some point.
- Comment on [Deck/Help] Heroic Launcher GoG Installers 6 days ago:
Nice! And you remembered its called Flatseal, good! Just FYI, I don’t think installing it as native app would have solved this due to the immutability of SteamOS, I think those apps would get deleted. Installing via Flatpak gets round this issue.
- Comment on [Deck/Help] Heroic Launcher GoG Installers 6 days ago:
I am assuming your Heroic flatpak install does not have access to those directories. SteamOS is immutable and all flatpacks act like isolated containers. By default I think Heroic cannot see these directories. I forgot where you set that though, there was an app preinstalled already…

Like, why even. What could possibly be of value there? Is this connected to the security issue it became when you sent your own AI agent there?

So the data was stored on AWS Dubai/Iran or whatever was bombed earlier. Sorry, too much happening, cannot keep track of all these locations.
- Comment on Here's how I fixed my Steam Deck when it stopped turning on. 4 weeks ago:
So you say you took a similar amount of time troubleshooting. Can you tell me why you think sharing knowledge about fixing something should require someone else to spend exactly the same amount of time watching you monologue about it?
Another user posted the critical part what the issue was and how it got fixed in 3 sentences! Making a 9 minute video out of it is just bizzare. If it really has to be a video you could do this in a minute or less and get straight to the point.
- Comment on Windows' original Secure Boot certificates expire in June—here's what you need to do 5 weeks ago:
In all that mess and scare last year I just switched secure boot off. It still isn’t clear to me how much of a risk it is, read many different opinions online, but seems not a terribly big risk and I don’t have to worry about this crap.

True, but then you have to keep playing the same game in order to do that. Doesn’t work all the time either, at least for me. I do appreciate everyone does this their own way so I think it is great that this works comparatively well.

I genuinely didn’t see that one so far, thanks!

Yes, it works so well with emulators!

I couldn’t find a comparison in the article, is it any cheaper than the windows counterpart or did they just keep the price the same? Not that I would ever get one at the price they quoted here.

Never used it, but what I remember about them going to a subscription model, they already made themselves irrelevant.

I feel the bus one is actually quite easy to spot as fake. There’s no one with head down looking at their phone.

I mean, you do you, but the AIDS comparison is quite tasteless.

There is also a Decky plug in that gives very easy access to already tons of startup movies now.
