Movies/shows I can still see many times today:
- Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind - it’s just so nicely structured, you always notice something new
- Glengarry Glen Ross - I finished watching it for the first time and I thought go myself “fuck, I could watch it again” and I did, watch the whole movie again straight away. I can still just go back and watch it. The acting is so amazing it never gets boring
- Veep - best show ever, I’ve seen every episode probably over 10 times and I still watch it all the time, like when I’m cooking or something. It’s just soooo fucking perfect

In communist Poland you couldn’t simply buy movies on VHS so the only ones we had were Iron Angels I and II: www.imdb.com/title/tt0094146/
No idea where they came from and I’ve seen both way too many times.

replay? you mean you finished it? Isn’t it open ended?
- Comment on Fallout TV Show - Trailer 11 months ago:
Yes but aren’t game developer experts on gameplay balance? Why would they listen to feedback from some amateurs? It’s the same with movies. People who designed Sonic for the movie were also experts, right? Yet they listed to feedback.
- Comment on Fallout TV Show - Trailer 11 months ago:
But we have early access video games. You can start playing when it’s in alfa, give feedback. Is it really that bad for creators?
- Comment on Fallout TV Show - Trailer 11 months ago:
Yeah, I don’t know. In the age of remakes, reboots and huge franchises can we really say that we watch shows for the story? Is any of the Marvel movies about the story? You always now how it will end. If you read the script of Guardians of the Galaxy would it really spoil the movie? I think those movies are actually more about ‘being involved’. Same as Star Trek or Star Wars. It’s about following, being a fan. Story is the weakest part of those movies. It’s all about CGI, action sequences and ‘fan stuff’ like callbacks, references and so on. I think showing what’s happening on the green screen wouldn’t actually spoil anything and would be really interesting to the fans.
And regarding fans ideas Sonic comes to mind. They released the trailer, fans complained and it got fixed.
But I not saying that all the shows should be made like this. For some (most?) I wouldn’t work. I’m just saying… wouldn’t it be interesting to see the entire process for a show like this?
- Comment on Fallout TV Show - Trailer 11 months ago:
Kind of a random though but do you think we will ever see shows done in a more connected way? I mean as of now, all the shows are always done in secret. Why not involve fans in the process? Publish videos from the set as you film and get feedback? Publish scripts, test footage and so on. Yes, the element of surprise would be lost but wouldn’t it be nice to see how the show is made and they see the final product? And maybe even influence it a little bit? I would love something like that. What do you think?

Another fun fact is that using ether during childbirth was forbidden by church for a long time because bible specifically says that giving birth in pain is God’s punishment.

It’s because all the freedom they have.
But seriously, they have some crazy allergies there. No idea why, probably because of all the artificial food and contamination in general. It’s just not a very healthy place to live.

Now you have catphishing, ransomwere, lot’s of different types of scammers and your credit cards can be stolen from some random e-commerce site. You also need to know what you’re doing.

You joke but the Catholic canon says that to check if someone is saint you have to pray to him and if miracle happens it means that this person can talk to god because only god can do miracles. And since he can talk to god it means he’s in heaven so his a saint. They actually have a pretend ‘scientific method’ they use for beatifications.
- Comment on Supposed Steam Deck killers are missing the point 1 year ago:
I totally agree, consoles a better for simply running games because the entire UI/UX is designed to run games. But it doesn’t really make them less finicky. There are still separate build with separate bugs. Cyberpunk was buggy on PS5, right? And with PC you’re free to upgrade to whatever specs you need. With consoles developers have to try to adapt their games to fixed, sometimes years old specs and the results can be not great (like with Zelda).
- Comment on Supposed Steam Deck killers are missing the point 1 year ago:
I don’t get it. I’m not a gamer but I played tons of video games in my life and never owned a video game console. For me video game is just software: you install it, you run it. Why would it be finicky on PC? Why would I need dedicated machine to run it? I don’t need dedicated hardware for any other software I run. If anything it’s the consoles that are upgraded only every couple of years so there’s always some new games that push their limits and are ‘finicky’. I’ve been told that the new Zelda doesn’t run great on Switch for example. For me consoles are a limited machine people put close to their TVs that make playing games a bit easier (UX wise) and more comfortable . They are like DVD players for games: I can watch movies on my PC just fine, having dedicated player close to my TV just makes it a bit more comfortable (well, now I just use Netflix but you get the point).
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Yes as I understand it usually the game would call buttplug.io directly but since Steam Deck already has vibration motor that games use I think it could be possible to detect when the internal motor vibrates and then pass the same signal to buttplug.io. So kind of a bridge between the build in motor and a buttplug.
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
I sure sounds like a fun project to work on. If only I didn’t have so many things in backlog already.
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Why not just use something like crates.io/crates/buttplug ?
