- Comment on What games did you get down with over the holiday weekend? 2 days ago:
I played Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine for the first time in over 20 years. I never managed to beat it when I was younger but I blew right through it in an hour this time around, even with arthritic hands. Feels good.
- Comment on Steam Deck sales still going strong over three years later 2 weeks ago:
Agreed, the ease of repairs and ability to upgrade the SSD were a huge selling point for me.
- Comment on [deleted] 5 weeks ago:
This is why I always buy electronics on my Amex card. They add an additional year of warranty past the manufacturer’s expiration.
- Comment on Name your most played and most surpring game you played on Steam Deck 2024 4 months ago:
Inscryption. I love card battlers and bought it just for that. I didn’t expect my mind to be blown at every twist! Easily one of my Top 5 games of all time. Controls were a bit wonky on deck but I got used to it after a few hours.
- Comment on Might as well get a laptop??? 4 months ago:
I’d even settle for a Lenovo-style nipple for mouse control.
- Comment on [Discussion] Do you use any headphones with your Steam Deck? 5 months ago:
Agreed! I use them all day when I go into the office, and the battery life, noise cancelation, and sound quality have been perfect.
- Comment on [Discussion] Do you use any headphones with your Steam Deck? 5 months ago:
They’re really only necessary if your headphones are hard to drive afaik
- Comment on [Discussion] Do you use any headphones with your Steam Deck? 5 months ago:
I’m a basic bitch and use my Galaxy buds. They work well enough. When docked, I have it connected to my DACAmp and blue snowball for a great audio experience.

Nice. Think I’ll finally grab FFXII.

- Comment on [Discussion] Steam Autumn Sale has started. What are you buying for your Steam Deck? 5 months ago:
If you enjoy Balatro, try Inscryption next. Don’t read anything about it, just hop in blind

- Comment on Peter Molyneux is back with new god sim Masters Of Albion, which looks like a stripped-down Black & White 9 months ago:
I’m a simple man. I see Molyneux, I get excited. I’m one of the few folks who thoroughly enjoyed every Fable game.
- Comment on From Baldur's Gate to Rogue Trader, the latest RPG-themed Humble Bundle is a horrifying assault on your time 9 months ago:
Yeah fuck humble bundle. I bought one for the first time a few months ago and the steam code didn’t work. Their support told me to pound dirt.

If it’s worth keeping, it lives on a RAID drive and a cloud backup*
3-2-1. Three copies in two different storage types, one of which is off site.
- Comment on Microsoft Gaming CEO: “I think we should have a handheld, too” 11 months ago:
I would absolutely buy one of these and I’ve been wishing for something like this for years. I do most of my gaming on Xbox these days, and it would be great to be able to play in bed. I don’t even care if it runs Windows or just an Xbox OS.
I do have a Steam Deck, but some games are too much effort to setup and troubleshoot. I want to hit one button and have a guarantee that the game will work, like the Switch.
- Comment on Is it normal that my OLED discharges 20% per day in standby? 11 months ago:
The OLED model has a special Bluetooth model that can wake the system from standby. This causes excessive power drain. You can try disabling Bluetooth if you’re not using any Bluetooth accessories.

Nah I’m good. No way I’m “upgrading” to a thicker phone for only 90 mWh more battery life.
- Comment on YouTube's free games catalog 'Playables' rolls out to all users 11 months ago:
There’s a neat Wordle-like game that I checked out. It was pretty fun. Also there’s Pool equivalent to the old Yahoo Pool game from the 00’s

Please don’t shut down FFXI. Please don’t shut down FFXI. Please don’t shut down FFXI. Please don’t shut down FFXI.
I’m sure it’s running on a skeleton screw at this point but surely it’s still making money.
