- Comment on Xfce 4.20 desktop released with experimental Wayland support 1 day ago:
Anyone trying xfce should be amazed how fast it is. I think current generation of computer users never used an operating system that is as instant as xfce. It’s quite an experience, almost stressful, because the system is constantly waiting for you. :)
- Comment on KDE Plasma 6.3 will have much better fractional scaling 1 day ago:
Cool. I don’t think I will notice a difference but maybe. It’s already good.
- Comment on Google says its new quantum chip indicates that multiple universes exist 3 days ago:
So it’s fine to make statements like this but it’s not fine to write an angry post on the web. Yeah makes sense. /s
- Comment on Path Of Exile 2 is so "severely overloaded" by players that Grinding Gear are hiring new support staff 6 days ago:
This is what happens when you make a good game. Luxary problems. :)
- Comment on California could become the first state to require social media warning labels 6 days ago:
Toxic gas also has warning labels. What’s the point.
- Comment on Path of Exile 2 Peaks at Over 459,000 Concurrent Steam Players on Early Access Launch 1 week ago:
And as usual, no activity. What’s wrong with just a gaming community? All these communities are just useless.
- Comment on Linux hits exactly 2% user share on the October 2024 Steam Survey 1 month ago:
I’m happy with the current state actually. Too much people using Linux and it’s going to become a target for ads and tracking. Currently we are flying under the radar, and it’s amazing. We are in the sweet spot of having enough quality software without the downsides.
- Comment on Path Of Exile 2 early access release delayed to December to ensure your POE microtransactions carry over 1 month ago:
I think the good loot drop rate is way to rare in the original game, made me tired of it. Didn’t feel like doing the same thing a million times (running maps) and die thousands of times either.
- Comment on Subnautica 2 early access should last "2 to 3 years" - it'll launch with "several biomes" and "some narrative" 1 month ago:
I was thinking this too.
It’s a worse experience for players who play an unfinished game, and then when the game is done, most players have already played it and are tired of it.
- Comment on Open-sourcing of WinAmp goes badly as owners delete entire repo 1 month ago:
Yes, WinAmp is still around: the audio player of choice for the Napster generation. You know, folks who are in their 40s now and are starting to get middle-aged presbyopia. If they remove their new reading glasses, it might make some of the many skins in the WinAmp Skin Museum look rather better.
At least the napster generation understood that digital copies is not stealing. :) They understand the concept of a copy.
- Comment on Google is purging ad-blocking extension uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store 2 months ago:
Today it’s everywhere so hard to miss. :) Used to be a conspiracy theory when I was growing up.
- Comment on Google is purging ad-blocking extension uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store 2 months ago:
We should make webpages that actively disables chrome and letting the user know why.
- Comment on Players are now less "accepting" that games will be fixed, say Paradox, after "underestimating" the reaction to Cities: Skylines 2's performance woes 2 months ago:
I also feel like I don’t want to start the game, because it just lags and feels slow even in the damn menus.
- Comment on Can’t upgrade your PC to Windows 11? Buy a new one, is Microsoft’s laughable solution 2 months ago:
The only difficult part is getting Linux on to a USB stick. After that, you boot your computer from the USB stick and click next, next, next until it’s done. It’s super easy.
- Comment on Can’t upgrade your PC to Windows 11? Buy a new one, is Microsoft’s laughable solution 2 months ago:
Smells like Microsoft air in here… A bit stale, dirty, corporate vibe.
Windows users have no idea what they are missing.
- Comment on Bethesda Game Studios workers have unionized 4 months ago:
Huh. I guess they do have some brains there.
- Comment on Fedora Linux 40 is officially out now 7 months ago:
It’s really nice they got plasma 6 and latest gnome in there. Should be a reelly good version. Plasma is better than ever now.
- Comment on Linux Mint 22 moves to Pipewire, will ship newer kernels after release 8 months ago:
Yeah plasma is really really nice now. Absolutely beautiful with just a change of icons and themes.
- Comment on Linux share on Steam bounces back to nearly 2% for March 2024 8 months ago:
Depends who we share with. Steam yes Google no.
- Comment on Steam now has over 100,000 games listed 8 months ago:
Sure but I still struggle to find fun games… It’s weird.
- Comment on Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection devs "working to address" bugs following disastrous launch 8 months ago:
In lieu of apologising for the launch issues, Aspyr took the opportunity to thank people for telling them that this sucks. “We’d like to thank the Battlefront community for their overwhelming support and feedback for the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection release,” they said. I remain fascinated by the ongoing evolution of marketing language and emotional approaches to dealing with narked customers.
LOL. :) It’s amazing what these people put out with a straight face… I’m glad someone falls them out.
- Comment on Just watched Dream Scenario and loved it! Are there any other similar movies you recommend? 9 months ago:
Ah ok, then you are in for a treat. Hopefully you can find good quality versions too, remastered ones.
- Comment on Just watched Dream Scenario and loved it! Are there any other similar movies you recommend? 9 months ago:
From those movies, pig was quite good. And of course all the older ones since he was in his prime back then.
My favorite movie with him is Con Air.
- Comment on Just watched Dream Scenario and loved it! Are there any other similar movies you recommend? 9 months ago:
If you like movies with lots of emotional ups and downs, Beau is Afraid is the best movie I have seen this year. It will surprise you every 10 minutes. Really good movie.
- Comment on On Second Watch: Speed Is Still A Cinematic Thrill Ride That Packs a Punch 9 months ago:
I love these older movies much more then newer ones.
- Comment on Opinion | How Bad Can It Get for Hollywood? 9 months ago:
I watch the Oscar’s to smile at the inflated egos in the room. Very few of them are even decent actors, and they know it.
- Comment on Coming to your streamer soon: more ads 9 months ago:
I literally see no ads on my computer or media player. Sometimes it’s great to be a nerd.

- Comment on Official Trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire 10 months ago:
Hollywood has no idea how to make the new movies as charming as the old ones.
