  Nothing makes sense anymore. People will buy anything if it’s just hyped up and rare enough, without any regard to it’s utility or intrinsic value. Everything has become bored apes.

  And I don’t mean to dunk on the steam machine itself, it is a good device for a particular niche. But at twice the price? That’s perfectly ridiculous.

  I really wanted one, but at this price point I can build a considerably more capable mATX PC. If I had a living room screen I might consider it, but as a pure gaming PC it doesn’t work for me.

  Here’s my confession: I will rarely use it and never sell it. It’s my second true collector’s item, much like the original. I’m perfectly happy with mouse and keyboard, I just want to own one for the sake of it.

  I watched the gameplay video and it was just so, so meh. I see what they were going for, but it just falls flat on so many levels. Ironically for a Bond game, it lacks style. There was such a lack of consistency, of thought, it’s like they fed various better games to an AI and this is the result. It’s all over the place.

  I tried GamePass PC until a whole bunch of my favourite games disappeared. So I had to buy them in the end l, which, given steam’s usual deals, was about the same as keeping my subscription. It’s not a great deal for discerning customers and people will notice.
