whay weird phrasing. “even if acccidental”. ita always accidental.
- Comment on Google preps Pixel ‘Audio Memory’ that ambiently tracks your ‘important conversations,’ like AI notetaker pins 1 week ago:
holy fuck. this is horrible. google is an Advertising company. why would you want an ad company listening to all your conversations?
let me soapbox a bit… AI is not tje problem. i honestly think companies use the term AI so thats all you focus on. its a tool.
“google is going to ambiently track your conversations”.
everything is going to shit and most comments on lemmy are about ai. ai is like trump putting his name on the kenedy center. its a distraction. they created a boogey man for you to focus on.
focus on palantir, meta’s age bill, flock, tech companies (ai or not) capturing all your data.
- Comment on US | Anthropic is blacklisted by the Pentagon and being used by the NSA at the same time 3 weeks ago:
that is not its intended purpose. before 9/11 there was a wall. the government was sued for the nsa spying on citizens.
- Comment on US | Anthropic is blacklisted by the Pentagon and being used by the NSA at the same time 3 weeks ago:
because the NSA doesnt give a fuck about hegseth’s tantrums. but what anthropic is sniffing glue if it thinks the nsa isnt spying on americans.
- Comment on South Korea court orders Samsung union strike to not impact chip volume 1 month ago:
may day this year was a day of protests. some groups protested trump, some ICE, another climate change. one was on wallstreet that focussed on economic equality, maybe the other newyork one did too but my main point is that there was no focus on any one issue.
all protests are valid but mayday was supposed to focus on workers’ rights.
also it has to be longer than a day.
- Comment on Microsoft backpedals: Edge to stop loading passwords into memory 1 month ago:
i want to be clear whats going on here. every other password manager loads the password you are rewuestion (they have to)… edge, on startup, loaded every single password in memory to be accessed. every… single… one.
bitwarden does not do that.
- Comment on Anthropic’s bug-hunting Mythos was greatest marketing stunt ever, says cURL creator 1 month ago:
you are exactly right. cirl has been attacked so much, every vulnerability has probably been worked out.
- Comment on FCC Attempts to Solve Robocall Problem by Potentially Creating Even Bigger Privacy Problem 1 month ago:
sorry, it was hyperbolic humor to get to the point that adding all these checks and eroding our rpivacy will do absolutely nothing. i was matching the silliness of the government’s response.
- Comment on FCC Attempts to Solve Robocall Problem by Potentially Creating Even Bigger Privacy Problem 1 month ago:
Why not impose the death penalty for robo callers? oh , thats right, because they can exist outside this country. how does any of this stop foreign scammers?
- Comment on Spending Just 10 Minutes With AI Can Fry Your Brain, Researchers Find 1 month ago:
the title is a hyperbolic but the research makes sense. but for those who do not contain the gene needed for resding articles… they gave people a math test. one group had no assisstance the other had ai solve the problems and then take it away and the ai group had trouble finishing once the ai was gone.
i never thought people should use it to take the challenge away. i want ai to sweep thenfloor so i have time to build a new controller for my sprinkler system. i dont want ai to build the project so i can sweep floors.
