They have some good quality of life suggestions in the video, but also a lot of horrible design decisions.
I do like the idea of displaying the review ratios on games instead of "Mostly positive" etc. and the expanding info when you hover which moves the add to cart button is problem Valve could fix. But that's like the only takeaways, everything else was a downgrade, while I can see where they are coming from with their ideas... they are just not good UX. Their design is case of wasting space and minimising the amount of stuff shown, they just outright remove useful information because 'it exists elsewhere'. Just because it exists elsewhere doesn't mean it can't be somewhere else to be seen at a glance.
They mostly looked at it from a design perspective and not a functionality perspective, they are new to Steam it seems from their profile shown in the video, so it makes sense they don't really know what people want/expect from the application.

That new generation design mentality, every webpage should have a max of 3 buttons, take up 50% of the page and the other half of the page can have 100 words maximum.
- Comment on Someone redesigned the Steam UI, and I need it. 10 months ago:
No, that redesign is horrendous. It follows modern 'design' principles of putting as little information on the page as you can and that's just a no go.
Steam's current UI isn't bad at all, everything functions and is similar to previous versions allowing anyone to find their way around comfortably. There are some issues, like in the older workshop pages, but the main store, discovery and library are all totally functional and nice imo.
Just because there isn't a shit ton of padding, doesn't mean it needs a redesign.

Tomb Raider reboot is pretty well optimised. The games look beautiful with great performance. It used the in-house Foundation engine.
It's a shame the next game will be on UE5, UE games always a certain look and jank that just makes them feel 'cheap' to me. Along with, usually, a lot worse performance.

Yuppp it's a monster gaming CPU still. I recently got a 7800X3D, it should last a long time, but having the piece of mind that in a few years I could just drop another AM5 CPU in if I needed or wanted to is great.

You are correct, the games are just shit.

I think it's safe to assume OP is not a pirate, given they mentioned both game pass and a sale :D
They are in a good spot for a CPU upgrade, with the socket being the same, they can jump 3 generations of CPUs for a drastic uplift in performance as it's bottlenecking their GPU atm. It's the most cost-effective part in this case as they wouldn't need to upgrade their motherboard at all, perhaps just a new cooler depending on what they have already.
- Comment on 'Great' games I didn't play this year due to requirements 11 months ago:
A CPU upgrade here would cost about the price of two of the triple A games OP mentioned, hardly a lot.
- Comment on 'Great' games I didn't play this year due to requirements 11 months ago:
Also upgrade that CPU, you have so many good drop in replacement options with AM4 still.

Just rushed development usually with the bigger titles. The time isnt spent on performance, it's a case of spunking a game out and moving onto the next one.

I wish I had the same luck. I have done a few play throughs (not all the way mind you) with friends and we encountered the same bugs and new bugs each time. Some may be very easy to overlook and I imagine this is what a lot of people who 'dont experience any bugs' do subconciously. However, when I enjoy a game, every little problem will stand out to me and when its stuff that exists almost everytime, then I wonder if Larian even played their own game (which funnily enough is a running joke between us since DOS2).

Yeah I got 300 hours and the game starts to fall apart in act 2 and shits the bed in act 3, bugs and loads of inconsistencies. I have never crashed either. The fact they are not just fixing bugs but adding massively to the story shows that there was a lot missing, their scope was a big too big imo and they should have kept it a shorter but more polished game.

They should have just delayed the game until early next year, at least they are working on it fast though I guess.

- Comment on Should i wait a Sale to buy the Steam Deck?? | [Discussion] 1 year ago:
I got mine during a rush, it said 1-2 weeks shipping and actually arrived in 3 days. This was Europe.
- Comment on Should i wait a Sale to buy the Steam Deck?? | [Discussion] 1 year ago:
Yes wait for a Steam sale, there will be one at the end of this month (Steam Deck will likely go on sale), they are clearing inventory of the current SKUs ready for the refreshed ones.
- Comment on Steam Deck as a laptop replacement? 1 year ago:
Native on Steam Deck is 1280x800 which is 16:10. Agree though, Steam Deck is great for games and while can be used as a laptop, I wouldn't recommend it either.
