We split the difference and went with QLED. Mainly because OLED is marginally less good in brighter environments, and we get sunlight in the room where the screen is. It didn’t hurt that QLED was a significant cost savings as well. For my viewing, I’m just as happy with the QLED. However, if you’re using it as a monitor where you are physically closer to the screen, OLED contrast may serve you better.

- Comment on Which James Bond movie do you consider the worst? 9 months ago:
The Brosnan ones were some of my least favorites. The Connery Bond films were campy and silly fun, but you didn’t need to take them seriously. The characters and gadgets were the fun parts. But then we get to the Brosnan ones and the FX wrap the needle past silly fun to just ridiculous, like the helicopter chopping its way down the street. I also found the pacing off and the sequences seemed really choppy, so it was just bad storytelling, too. Next least favorites were the Dalton/Moore films, but I quite enjoyed Walken as the villain.
I’m mixed over the Craig Bond. I really like the refresh; the more serious tone, the more brutal face of these films. This Bond is much more cynical, unhappy, and troubled. Unfortunately the humor isn’t there anymore, and the introspective parts of the character can be helpful as much as they are unnecessary sometimes.

Yep. I never buy on launch. Just wait a few months and the price comes down, especially if near a holiday you’ll get a sale. Also the bitchfest about the game bEiNg LiTeRaLly UnpLaYAblE!!1!1 because of problems has died down after a few patches.

I don’t deny that there are potential side effects. However, when one person knows multiple people who have suffered some ill effect it’s obviously not about the science. By that same token I could apply my logic that I know zero people who have had any serious side effects.
I actually just suggest that they drive without seatbelts seeing as the odds of getting in a serious accident are so low in their daily life if they want to refuse the vaccine based on potential side effects. Hemming and hawing usually follows.

Yeah this one is more than a little irritating. I’ve encountered too many people who know someone who has someone in their life that was adversely affected by the vaccine. Heart attacks, strokes, nerve issues, whatever. But when you press them for the details there’s always something else, like the person has diabetes, had a bunch of age-related diseases, etc. But there’s no way those things had anything to do with their poor health…no, it has to be the vaccine. Or maybe the even got covid, but refused to get tested.
- Comment on Bethesda Is Responding to Negative Reviews of Starfield on Steam 11 months ago:
Hah, that first quoted review is like playing Elite Dangerous. Really love that game. However, Starfield doesn’t have VR, so I’m not interested in going down that path. VR in Elite (except for ground ops) is amazing, and a spaceflight/sim absolutely should have a VR option IMO.

Welcome to the way PC players have played since remapping keys was a thing. Not everyone wants basic WASD and to learn the game’s control peculiarities - which you have to learn for each game anyway regardless of control type.
Get a customizable controller, map the same functions to the same buttons each time for each game, then place the new functions based on accessibility and importance. Works great, reduces the curve for learning the new game’s tools.
I’ve been using a version of a small gamepad for over a decade, it has selectable setups and can custom map each game. My jump key is always the same. Grenade always the same. Interact always the same. Next item always the same…you get the idea.
