I LOVE Shadowrun, but it would be so criminally expensive to do (and do well) as live action that I would be genuinely worried if someone tried.

I maintain that Big Bang Theory had 6 amazing seasons spread out over 12.
If someone with too much time and effort to spare could run through and edit out every nerd joke for joke sake, every episode that doesnt advance the characters and so on you would wind up with 6 seasons of damn good tv.

Thats the best thing about the foreign adaptations on Netflix. Hollywood isnt involved, the formulas are different, the bars of acceptability are different, audience expectations are really different.
They are so much less predictable.

If they are the “handsy” uncles, they are significantly less desireable.
